The ideal candidate will oversee all operational aspects for both short-stay and long-stay guests, ensuring a seamless experience, maintaining high standards of guest satisfaction, and driving the property's financial performance. You will be instrumental in bringing this innovative concept to life, playing a pivotal role in ensuring exceptional service delivery and maximizing guest satisfaction.
About the role
We’re looking for a proactive Housekeeping Supervisor to keep Hotel OCEANIKA spotless and welcoming. You’ll lead the housekeeping team, manage daily operations, and ensure all rooms and common areas meet our high standards. Join us in Málaga/Torremolinos and help shape a new standard in flexible living.
Your Responsibilities:
- Oversee the cleanliness, orderliness, and overall appearance of all guest rooms, common areas (including lobbies, lifts, stairs, rooftops, and basements), and external/internal areas of the property.
- Manage the daily tasks and schedules of outsourced housekeeping staff, ensuring they adhere to property standards.
- Conduct daily briefings, attend operational meetings, and maintain effective communication within the Housekeeping department and with other departments/service providers.
- Manage the inventory, ordering, and control of all guest supplies, linens, cleaning supplies, and chemicals.
- Monitor and maintain records of lost and found items, room supply breakages/losses, and linen/towel discrepancies.
- Ensure key control procedures are followed and that all necessary reports (e.g., outsourced attendance, stock inventory) are prepared and submitted to management and the Guest Services/Experience Team.
- Report on sold rooms, verify room status, identify discrepancies, and prioritize room cleaning.
Your Qualifications:
- Minimum 1-3 years of supervisory experience in the Hospitality sector.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (both written and spoken).
- Proficiency in Spanish and English.
- Engaged, energetic, and hands-on with strong organizational and team management skills.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, 5 days a week (including weekends and public holidays)
- Proactive in challenging the status quo and committed to improving cleaning efficiencies and guest experience.
